Introduction to the Functions of the Electric Pallet Truck Operating System
1. Power Key - The main power control switch for the electrical system. Insert the key and turn it clockwise to switch on the power supply and activate the control system; turning the key back to its original position switches off the power.
2. Accelerator Pedal - Used to control speed. The accelerator pedal should be depressed gradually. As the pedal is slowly depressed, the vehicle begins to accelerate; when depressed fully to the floor, the vehicle reaches its maximum speed. Releasing the pedal initiates deceleration. When the pedal is fully released, the accelerator ceases to function.
3. Brake - Used to decelerate the vehicle or bring it to a complete stop.
4. Steering Wheel - Controls the direction of travel.
5. Forward/Reverse Switch - A three-position switch. Pressing the upper section engages the forward gear, while pressing the lower section engages the reverse gear. The switch must be set to the correct position; otherwise, the rear axle and motor may sustain damage.
6. Ammeter - The ammeter features 10 graduations (ranging from 0 to 300). As the battery is consumed during operation, the ammeter needle will move from the higher graduations toward the lower ones. If the battery charge level becomes too low, the vehicle should be recharged promptly.
7. Parking Brake - Used to secure the vehicle when parked.
Additionally, please pay close attention to system maintenance:
1. The condition of the brake pads must be inspected every three months to check for wear, and to verify that no pads have become misaligned or are failing to function correctly.
2. Every three months, inspect the electrical system (particularly the main circuit) to ensure that all fixed components remain secure and that all electrical contacts are in good working order. At the same time, inspect the contact points of the contactors and repair any faults discovered. Use low-pressure compressed air to remove dust and debris.
3. When replacing a fuse, always verify that the rated current of the new fuse matches the required specification.
4. Strictly avoid abruptly or frequently depressing the accelerator pedal, as doing so will significantly shorten the lifespan of the accelerator mechanism.
5. Do not drive at high speeds when traveling downhill; please reduce your speed when making turns.
